Dharasuram picnic

Dear friends  it was decided to visit Dharasuram Iravadeshwarar temple with family on 19 th Februay 2012 Sunday .The message was communicated to the members on 17 th and 18 th February during our regular walking hours.As per the request and message members with family reached Dharasuram on the said day between 11.00 and 12.00 hrs. Though many members hailed from Kumbakonam few of them have visited the place for the first time. The temple premise and the surrounding area is being maintained by Indian Archaeological department and also funded by UNESCO. The sculpture en carved on the granite stones were really marvelous especially the pillars and the roof. It is worth while to visit many a times.On behalf of the visitors "Archana" was done during our worship.Afterwards we came out and relaxed in the spacious lawn area  spending our time by playing cards and few of us were singing and exchanging their thoughts and experience in different fields between themselves. It was a nice opportunity for family members to know each other and share their views in different fields.Around 1.30 hrs we had our homely prepared lunch brought  by all and shared between us.Finally we disbursed around 15.00 hrs. The participants are Mrs &Mr S.Narayanan, Mrs &Mr. T.S.Balasubramanian, Mrs &Mr V.Sugumaran, Mrs & Mr C.Pugzhendhi, Mr&Mrs R.Muthukrishnan,Mrs & Mr R.Rajakumaran,Mrs &Mr Mohan, Mr.R.Pitchaiyappan and MR.M.Krishnan.The trip was really a memorable one. Certainly we will undertake many more such trips in future.My sincere gratitude  to all the participants for their kind co operation in this regard.
