Persons who undertake walking practice as their routine and regular on every day at Kumbakonam men's college campus have decided to form an association so as to understand each other more friendly and help each other both in happiness and sorrow this association was started on 12.05.2010 . It was named as College Campus Walkers welfare Club- Kumbakonam. shortly(CCWWC) At present 40 members have enrolled with this association. All relevant details such as Name,Occupation, address, phone number, date of birth, wedding date,blood group and e.mail.id were collected in a prescribed form.Based on these furnished informations address book has been generated and issued to the individual members.Admission fee was fixed as Rs: 100/= and monthly subscription was fixed as Rs:25/month.
Activities : After the formal inaguration executive committee was constituted with following members as office bearers. Shri.R.Pitchiyappan, President 2.Shri.T.S.Balasubramanian, Secretary, 3 Shri.G.Rajgopalan Treasurer, 4Shri.K.S.Dhasaradhan,5.Shri. V.Sugumar and 6. Shri M.Krishnan as executive members to run the association successfully. At a later stage Shri.R.Muthukrishnan was added as Joint secretary to the same committee. For the first six months first Monday of every month Monthly meeting was held subsequently the same was changed over to the first Sunday of every month. As a token of respect and felicitation greetings were sent to the members on the occasion of their birthday and wedding day.
